Watching the "Jesus Film" indoors. the children angled
for the best seats and watched it eagerly. They were
distracted momentarily only when they saw us bringing
in the gifts! When they were finished with the only tv we
had, we took it outside to show it on the street. Even
close to the noise of the generator, the crowd was
hungry for the truth. Praise God and may God bless
you....for what you have done.

When we passed out tracts in their
language, the people would actually
come out in the streets and ask for
them ! As we passed them out we said
"Jezi Ge mao" ...Jesus Loves You
We are finishing a morning devotional
and prayer before we split up into three
churches. Here are the college students
from the Dominican Republic who rode
buses from Santo Domingo (about 5
hours) and spent the night in Haiti to
volunteer their help. The large family is
the neighbors to where we will be
building the new classrooms. They
would like to build a new church
but it costs too much. (the father is
holding one of our tracts also).

This is the same building as the school and
is used for church on Sundays. A couple
had just married and dedicated their lives to
Christ that morning. The singing was great!
There are little remnants of Christians like
this who are trying to do good under the
worst of circumstances. For all their
poverty, they came up with some pretty
sharp clothes for the church service! For
them it is not an easy task. I saw the men
that morning privately bathing, standing in a
bucket of water they had hand drawn from a
well. Through translators (English to
Spanish to creole), I preached the Gospel as
best as I could... not being a preacher ("be
ready in season and out")and threw in a
little apologetics against the false
teachings in the area. Being Brothers and
Sisters already....you could tell they
already new it.

Among others, these ladies were recipients of
reading glasses we took. One lady has a big ball
on her throat that I'm told might be Goiter? Some
of the Bibles we gave to the kids the night before
showed up in the church that day!
